Jamie the Unicorn (!) visits Streetsport!

Every year, YouthLink Scotland, the national agency for youth work, run a campaign to promote the CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund and to highlight the amazing work of the funded projects.

CashBack for Communities reinvests the proceeds of crime back into communities to benefit Scotland's young people and administer three CashBack funds for youth work groups.

This year, the CashBack for Communities Youth Work fund has awarded £778,595.00 to 194 projects - benefiting 14,486 young people in Scotland including participants at the Denis Law Legacy Trust’s Streetsport sessions.

To help celebrate and promote the work of the project, Jamie (a three feet high yellow unicorn!) embarked upon a 2,000 mile roundtrip of Scotland.

On Monday, Jamie arrived at RGU Sport via The Attic in Brechin and spent his day exploring our workplace before visiting Albyn School, Inchgarth Community Centre and Scotland’s first Cruyff Court in Aberdeen city centre.

Check out our own Twitter thread here for what he was up to as well as our gallery of images below.

Thanks to all involved for including Streetsport in Jamie’s Journey and we hope he had a great time!

You can catch up on the rest of the furry unicorn’s adventure’s over on Twitter at @CashBackJamie or by using the hashtag #JamiesJourney.
