Denis Law Legacy Trust announced as a Northern Star Business Awards Finalist
The Denis Law Legacy Trust is proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for the ‘Making a Difference’ award at the Aberdeen Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) 2021 Northern Star Business Awards.
The ‘Making a Difference’ award recognises organisations who have made an positive difference in the community. The Denis Law team are ecstatic to be finalists in what has been a record year for number of entries submitted across all the12 award categories.
Other fantastic finalists in the category include Charlie House, Sport Aberdeen and NESS, the winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday March 11, 2021 at the ASM Global P&J Live.

It has been a challenging year for many people in Aberdeen, especially young people. This recognition really plays homage to the hard work of our team, their determination to adapting almost overnight to ensure not just our sustainability but also ensuring we were still in place to support those who needed us. The Denis Law Legacy Trust would not be where we are today, without our dedicated and committed team of likeminded staff and volunteers. I cannot thank them enough for their continued efforts and everything they have achieved.”
The Northern Star awards are open to both members and non-members of the Chamber, the Awards recognise the exceptional accomplishments of organisations across a range of fields from innovation, marketing and sustainability to people development and international growth.
This year saw a record 130 nominations submitted for the 12 categories. The judging process saw a range of business leaders come together to scrutinise the entries and the winners of the 17th annual awards, held in association with principal sponsor Nucore Group, will be unveiled on March 11, 2021.
Seona Shand, the Chamber’s membership and events director, said: “This has been a very difficult year for many businesses so it has been an inspiring and invigorating process to go through the record number of entries and the many examples of bold businesses creating opportunity in the Aberdeen city region.
“While we cannot give them all an award, each of our finalists is truly deserving of recognition for their achievements and I’m looking forward to the awards night in March to help celebrate with all those entrants who have made it on to the most competitive of shortlists. You really are all winners.”
