Kiana Coutts Nominated For National Community Hero Award
Kiana Coutts - Streetsport Outreach Development Officer
Denis Law Legacy Trust’s Outreach Development Officer, Kiana Coutts has been nominated as a finalist for The Scottish Sports Awards 2022: Community Hero category.
Coutts was nominated for her instrumental role in shaping and delivering Denis Law Legacy Trust’s Stronger Families Inside Out and CLUB 10 programmes.
Stronger Families Inside Out aims to strengthen relationships between inmates at HMP & YOI Grampian and their families, through sport and creative activities. The free-to-access sessions take place during children’s visits at HMP & YOI Grampian.
They are delivered in partnership with Stronger Families as well as The Scottish Prison Service and Action For Kids. The programme Stronger Families Inside Out is funded by Children In Need and was commended in Scottish Parliament earlier this year.
On her nomination Kiana Coutts said “Being nominated for this award was a huge surprise and is an honour for both myself and the Denis Law Legacy Trust.
All partners involved have contributed to the success of the Stronger Families Inside Out and CLUB 10 initiatives and it is a privilege every day to support the programme participants.”
Mark Williams, Chief Operating Officer at Denis Law Legacy Trust, nominated Coutts for the national award saying “All of us at Denis Law Legacy Trust are incredibly proud of Kiana and the work she has done.

The Scottish Sports Awards 2022 bring people together who have made a significant impact in the world of sport. Other attendees on the night include athletes Eilish McCologan and Duncan Scott.
The glamorous ceremony will take place in December where the winners of each award will be announced.
