A smash-hit night for DLLT Annual Fundraising Dinner 2022
The Annual Fundraising Dinner was another great success this year with a stellar amount raised and plenty of entertainment throughout the night. We are confident everyone had a fabulous evening.
Next year’s dinner is already confirmed at The Marcliffe at Pitfodels on Friday, 17 November 2023. The electric Alex Fleming, who celebrated hosting his 10th dinner with us this year, will return as our inimitable compere once again.
A huge thank you to the incredible generosity of all involved, which means so much to the charity given the challenging times we are all facing. It is testament to the kindness and charitable nature of all who attended.
Special guests included Scottish World Cup greats, Joe Jordan, Stuart Kennedy, Jim Leighton and Willie Miller and of course Denis Law, patron of the charity alongside many of his family and friends.
Entertainment on the night came from comedian Chris Forbes, who sold-out at the Edinburgh Fringe earlier this year. He was joined by friend of the charity and tennis icon, Judy Murray for his hilarious warm up act “The Third Murray Brother”.
Our sincere thanks go to all our sponsors, the table hosts, all attendees, everyone who donated prizes and all the team behind the scenes. Thanks also to The Marcliffe hotel staff and the Granite City Events team for their excellent work and cooperation which ensure the event runs like clockwork.
The money raised from our dinner will go a long way in helping to grow the charity and our impactful programmes which fundamentally exist to provide a positive platform for young people to thrive in their communities.
It was an honour for Denis Law to present Willie Miller with a certificate and gift commemorating his appointment as our first ever ambassador. The audience were delighted to see Denis on stage. Willie expressed his willingness to do all that he can to support the charity.
