A new Streetsport session which is run in partnership with a mixed martial arts gym in Torry is proving to be a great success for local youngsters.

The Denis Law Legacy Trust, in partnership with Aberdeen City Council and the Johan Cruyff Foundation, is delighted to finally be able to announce that Aberdeen’s second Cruyff Court will be named after Aberdeen FC legend Neale Cooper.

Construction on Aberdeen’s second Cruyff Court is to begin imminently as ground was broken in Torry on Monday 05 August.

The Barrack Charitable Trust has donated £10,000 towards the Denis Law Legacy Trust’s Streetsport programme. The funds will go directly towards funding the Kickstart wing of Streetsport which delivers activity sessions to Primary 6 and 7 pupils in local schools.

After the great success of Scotland’s first Cruyff Court at Catherine Street in the centre of the city, everyone connected with the project are ecstatic to confirm Tullos, Torry as the second location.
