Cruyff Court Willie Miller Grand Opening: Image Gallery


Children’s charity, Denis Law Legacy Trust alongside Aberdeen City Council and the Cruyff Foundation officially opened the much-anticipated Cruyff Court Willie Miller - an outdoor community sports facility - in Tillydrone.

The day began with an indoor ceremony, compered by Graham Hunter, with speeches from David Suttie, Trustee of Denis Law Legacy Trust; The Lord Provost of Aberdeen; Simon Wood of The Cruyff Foundation; Mark Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Denis Law Legacy Trust and Willie Miller MBE."

The court officially opened with a ceremonial penalty from Willie Miller, alongside activities from Streetsport and the Gray’s School of Art’s Mobile Art School such as basketball, mini tennis, football and hydro dipping. Streetsport is run in partnership with Robert Gordon University and aims to reduce instances of youth crime and anti-social behaviour; improve health and wellbeing; and encourage inclusivity through sport, physical activity and creative endeavour.

Aberdeen’s Cruyff Courts are thanks to a successful partnership with Aberdeen City Council, The Cruyff Foundation and Denis Law Legacy Trust.

Thanks must also go to Macron Sports Hub Aberdeen for donating 100 footballs for the grand opening.
