Successful Golf Outing Raises Funds for Children’s Charity

Children’s charity, Denis Law Legacy Trust held their annual Golf Outing last week at Deeside Golf Club in stunning Aberdeenshire settings.

It was a sold-out event with 29 teams taking on the 18-hole Haughton Course, many armed with mulligans and pieces of string. This year also introduced a new ‘beat the pro’ challenge to the proceedings with players having the opportunity to play against a Golf professional at the first tee.

The day raised important funds for Denis Law Legacy Trust, a local children’s charity that provides a range of free-to-access programmes and activities to young people living in Aberdeen’s most disadvantaged communities.

In the end, it was Ning Zhang who emerged victorious with Cala Homes and PX securing a more than respectable second and third place finish, respectively.

Prizes were also given for longest drive, closest to the pin and, most importantly, best name. Winners included Richard Reid of Global Energy for nearest to the pin on the 1st, Steve Judge of Hall Morrice for nearest to the pin on the 14th, Richard Cameron of North East Electronic for longest drive on the 6th, Danny Murray of MDL for longest drive on the 18th and TechnipFMC with ‘No Scotland, No Par Tee’.
