At the beginning of 2020 we introduced Aidan and Megan to the team, two 3rd year Applied Sport and Exercise Science students at RGU, for a period of 6 weeks which tied in with their placement opportunity module.

Here’s a wee blog summarising the journey of someone who started volunteering with Streetsport in 2011. As you can imagine, a lot has changed since then!

A Streetsport volunteer who hails from Catalonia has been in the spotlight recently after appearing in Universities Scotland campaign on internationalisation.

William’s a familiar face at Streetsport sessions. Having grown up in the community of Northfield in the north-west of Aberdeen, he began participating at Streetsport sessions in the area when he was 12.

In the final months of 2018 we welcomed Glenda into the Streetsport team after she’d approached us about doing some volunteering. Glenda, from Peru, was keen to get involved with an organisation that shared her beliefs and interests before returning home in January.
